About this role
This role is responsible for keeping machines in the best running condition by responding promptly to maintenance calls and troubleshooting issues quickly with minimal downtime. The master maintenance mechanic also performs preventive maintenance and supports production equipment and utilities while maintaining required documentation and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain machines and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and fabrication (lathe/mill/MIG-TIG welding)
- Comprehend PLC ladder logics and apply troubleshooting accordingly
- Execute shut down procedures and check power, water, and vacuum pressure
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot production support equipment (compressors, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps) while maintaining documentation
Technical Overview
You will perform basic electrical troubleshooting and basic fabrication (including lathe/mill work and MIG/TIG welding) and use PLC ladder logic knowledge. Maintenance scope includes production support equipment such as compressors, chillers, dryers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and pumps, supported by diagnostic tools like calipers, gauges, meters, and dial indicators.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior maintenance mechanic with 3+ years of recent mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair experience in an industrial manufacturing setting. They are strong in electrical troubleshooting and PLC ladder logic, can perform both preventive and breakdown maintenance, and can handle fabrication/welding and production support equipment like compressors, chillers, and cooling towers while following strict safety procedures.
