Material Handler

This Material Handler role transports materials from the finishing department to shipping and ensures pallets are shrink/stretch wrapped for outbound shipment. The position also includes loading outgoing trucks and maintaining forklift readiness through daily preventive maintenance.

• Retrieve and transport loaded pallets using forklift
• Wrap loaded pallets with plastic wrap using shrink wrapping machinery
• Load finished materials onto outgoing trucks using forklift
• Perform daily preventive maintenance duties on forklift
• Refill empty propane tanks

The role centers on forklift operation (including spending the majority of the shift on the forklift), operating shrink wrapping machinery, and following detailed daily maintenance checklists. Work involves pallet handling, propane tank refilling, and routine equipment inspections and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is an entry-level warehouse or manufacturing material handler who can reliably operate a forklift and handle palletized product. They have experience with shrink/stretch wrapping and can follow daily forklift preventive-maintenance checklists (fluids, brakes, and engine checks) while working rotating schedules that include overtime and weekends.
