About this role
Contract Mathematics PhD role supporting AI research by evaluating AI-generated mathematical content and providing feedback. Work is flexible and asynchronous, focused on accuracy, rigor, and relevance to real mathematical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Create domain-relevant questions for mathematical review
- Review AI-generated responses for accuracy, rigor, and relevance
- Evaluate mathematical reasoning and proof construction
- Provide feedback to help AI better understand math reasoning and problem-solving
- Work independently following written guidelines in a flexible remote schedule
Technical Overview
You will create domain-relevant questions and review AI-generated responses for mathematical reasoning quality, proof construction correctness, and technical problem-solving relevance. No prior AI or technical experience is required, but doctoral-level mathematics expertise is essential.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a current or recently graduated Mathematics PhD with doctoral-level expertise in at least one of the listed subfields (e.g., analysis, algebra, topology, probability, discrete math, number theory, computational/numerical mathematics). They are strong at written communication, meticulous about accuracy and rigor, and able to independently review AI-generated responses against detailed guidelines.
