About this role
Hourly electrician role responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical systems and equipment. Work includes using safety procedures, electrical codes, schematics/blueprints, and test equipment while following work orders, work permits, and safety instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and install electrical systems and equipment
- Follow safety procedures, electrical codes, manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
- Use test equipment, measuring, and alignment tools to perform assigned tasks
- Plan and coordinate work following appropriate work orders and work permits
- Perform work in a safe and environmentally sound manner
Technical Overview
Performs electrical troubleshooting and installation/maintenance work using test equipment, measuring tools, and alignment tools. Executes tasks based on schematics, diagrams, manuals, and blueprints, with foundational knowledge of grounding and shielding and wiring/raceway systems.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an electrician with at least 5 years of related electrical experience and a High school diploma or GED. They can safely repair, maintain, and install electrical systems using electrical codes, manuals, schematics, and blueprints, and they are comfortable working on-site and in-person while coordinating tasks via work orders and work permits.
