HF Sinclair is seeking a Mechanic for the Artesia, NM area, required to work at the Artesia and Lovington plant. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting rotating equipment and performing required field and safety-related tasks on a rotating shift and on an on-call schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rotating equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot pumps, turbines, gear boxes, and compressors
- Operate a forklift and support maintenance operations
- Read and interpret instructions, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Support field work including manway entry, high-place work, and on-call coverage
Technical Overview
This is an industrial maintenance role centered on rotating equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting—specifically pumps, turbines, gear boxes, and compressors. The work is field based and includes forklift operation, use of power tools, and work in high places and around high temperatures with required breathing apparatus.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an industrial mechanic with at least 5 years of relevant experience in rotating equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting. They have hands-on experience maintaining pumps, turbines, gear boxes, and compressors, and can perform field-based work including forklift operation and manway entry. They are reliable on an on-call schedule and able to work safely in high places and adverse conditions.
