About this role

Mechanical Engineering Co-Op role with MedTech robotics team, focusing on design, prototyping, and testing of instruments and accessories for a robotic platform in Santa Clara.

Key Responsibilities

Design, prototype and test instruments and accessories that will be mounted onto a robotic platform
Apply rapid prototyping methods (3D printing, machining)
Document designs and analyses
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Integrate and evaluate design solutions

Technical Overview

Hands-on design and prototyping using SolidWorks; rapid prototyping via 3D printing and machining; experience with design for manufacturing and materials properties; requires current enrollment in Mechanical Engineering program.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a motivated Mechanical Engineering student entering a co-op, proficient with SolidWorks and hands-on fabrication methods, and eager to contribute to robotics medical devices. They should demonstrate self-direction, clear technical communication, and a willingness to learn manufacturing processes.
