Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the Life Sciences team in Cary, focusing on designing building mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, fire protection) and contributing to safe, compliant building designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide system design calculations
  • Coordinate with designs of other trades
  • Assist in designing HVAC, piping, domestic water and sprinkler systems

Technical Overview

Intern will assist in system design calculations, coordination with other trades, and development of plans for heating/cooling, domestic water, waste and sprinkler systems under PE supervision; Revit and 3D CAD proficiency preferred.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a current mechanical/architectural/fire protection engineering student with strong interest in building mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, fire protection) and familiarity with Revit/3D CAD; seeks hands-on internship to contribute to Life Sciences facility design under PE guidance.
