About this role
Crest Security Assurance is seeking a Mid-Level Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, maintain, and optimize secure and scalable Azure environments. The role focuses on Windows and identity administration, Azure Virtual Desktop, hybrid connectivity, security hardening, and automation using Infrastructure as Code.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, manage, and support Azure cloud environments including virtual networks, compute, storage, and hybrid connectivity
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy across on-premises and cloud-hosted environments
- Configure and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments for enterprise users
- Implement system and cloud hardening in accordance with DoD STIGs and CIS Benchmarks
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell DSC, ARM templates)
Technical Overview
You will administer and engineer Microsoft Azure infrastructure (networking, compute, storage, hybrid connectivity) while managing Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy. The role also requires implementing security hardening aligned with DoD STIGs and CIS Benchmarks, managing endpoints with Microsoft Intune, and automating deployments via Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell DSC, and ARM templates.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Azure cloud engineer with 3–5 years of experience administering Microsoft Azure and supporting Microsoft Windows environments. They have hands-on skills with Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure Virtual Desktop, hybrid identity synchronization, Microsoft Intune, and security hardening aligned with DoD STIGs and CIS Benchmarks.
