AECOM is seeking a Mid-Level Civil Engineer for its Phoenix, Arizona Geo-Civil team. The role focuses on civil design for mine sites, power plants, and dams, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, drawings, estimates, and construction support activities.

  • Contribute to the design of regional mine sites, power plants, and dams
  • Generate conceptual layouts/designs and perform calculations/analyses for water infrastructure and roads
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, quantity and cost estimates, and alternative assessments
  • Prepare drafts for technical proposals, reports, and regulatory agency permits
  • Create engineering drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD Civil 3D and participate in client meetings

You will perform conceptual layouts and engineering calculations for drainage and water infrastructure (channels, culverts, detention ponds, spillways) using AutoCAD Civil 3D. The role includes hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, quantity and cost estimates, proposal/report and permit support, and coordination with geotechnical, structural, mechanical, and electrical design teams.

The ideal candidate is a civil engineer with a BA/BS in Civil Engineering and 4+ years of relevant design experience. They have hands-on experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and detailed design for water-related infrastructure (channels, culverts, detention ponds, spillways) using AutoCAD Civil 3D. They collaborate across engineering disciplines and can support field activities such as construction support and site inspections.
