About this role
Westlake is hiring a Continental Shift Millwright responsible for troubleshooting and providing preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines. The role includes equipment overhauls, installation, PM completion and documentation, work order and parts request generation, blueprint/schematic interpretation, and performing fabrication and repair work using standard machine tools and welding/cutting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and provide immediate preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines
- Perform facility maintenance and ensure PMs are completed and documented
- Generate parts requests and complete work orders as assigned
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings; troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic components
- Operate machine tools and perform fabrication/repairs using arc welding and oxyacetylene cutting
Technical Overview
This is an industrial maintenance millwright role with a strong focus on hydraulic and pneumatic component troubleshooting. The environment includes PM execution, work order management, parts request generation, and the ability to fabricate and repair using arc welding and oxyacetylene cutting, supported by precision measurement tools and machine operations. Computer usage includes MS Office and maintenance management software.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a 433A Millwright with strong troubleshooting skills across hydraulic and pneumatic systems and a track record of executing preventative and corrective maintenance on production lines. They can read blueprints and schematic drawings, complete PMs on time with proper documentation, and generate work orders and parts requests. The candidate is comfortable operating machine tools (grinder/saw/lathe/milling machines), performing fabrication/repairs (arc welding/oxyacetylene cutting), and working weekends and overtime.
