About this role
You will lead independent validations and challenge activities for financial and non-financial models. You will manage validation projects, update model inventories, review documentation for regulatory alignment, and ensure issues are remediated with model owners.

- Drive improvements to model risk management program governance and templates
Technical Overview
The role covers the end-to-end model validation lifecycle, including model inventory management, documentation review against regulatory and internal standards, and development of challenger models using alternative data and approaches. You will also coordinate with external validators and engage directly with auditors and regulators.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior model validation professional who can independently validate financial and non-financial models across the full model lifecycle. They have strong model risk management experience, can develop challenger models using alternative data, and can partner effectively with model owners, external validators, auditors, and regulators.
Must-Have Skills
Perform independent model validations of financial and non-financial models of key importance to the Association.Manage validation projects executed by external consulting firms and contractors.Develop challenger models that incorporate alternative datatheoriesand approaches.Update the Model Inventory as model information changes according to the model lifecycleReview model documentation created by model owners to ensure it meets regulatory and internal standards.Review issues submitted for closure and work with model owners to ensure issues are appropriately remediated.Drive improvements to the model risk management program by making recommendations for improvement in documentation templates and governance procedures.Operate with no supervision in a complex environment under only consultative direction toward predetermined long-range targets.
