About this role
Support DHI Communities’ multifamily acquisition, development, and asset management efforts. The Development Analyst builds proformas and financial projections, assists with due diligence, and helps evaluate new opportunities while monitoring existing property performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare proformas and financial projections for potential multifamily development projects
- Support due diligence by gathering due diligence reports and materials
- Build financial modeling to guide acquisition and asset management decisions
- Analyze and monitor financial performance, including benchmarking to budget
- Prepare presentation materials and analyze overall market and industry trends
Technical Overview
Financial analytics role centered on Advanced Excel financial modeling, proformas, underwriting rents, operational expenses, and project costs. Involves benchmarking property performance to budget, analyzing market/industry trends, and preparing presentation materials to support acquisition and asset management decisions.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an early-career Development Analyst with 1 to 3 years of experience in commercial real estate, private equity, or investment banking. They are strong in Advanced Excel financial modeling and can build proformas, underwriting rents, benchmark performance to budget, and support acquisition, financing, and disposition decisions for multifamily investments.
