About this role

Part-time remote 1099 consultant to manage and advance NERC CIP compliance programs for utility and energy clients, including gap assessments, audits, CMEP interpretation, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support NERC CIP compliance programs (CIP-002 through CIP-014)
Perform NERC CIP gap assessments, internal audits, and compliance reviews
Support NERC audit preparation, mock audits, and evidence validation
Interpret NERC compliance monitoring and enforcement (CMEP) requirements
Develop and review cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls

Technical Overview

Focus on NERC CIP compliance across CIP-002 to CIP-014, CMEP, audit readiness, and cybersecurity policy development in OT/ICS environments; collaborate with IT/OT teams; provide guidance on BES classifications and audit responses.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior CIP compliance professional with 6+ years of NERC CIP experience and deep knowledge of CIP standards, CMEP, audits, and RSAWs, comfortable delivering remote consulting 1099 engagements for utilities and ISO/RTO clients.
