About this role
NetApp Field Engineer responsible for configuring and upgrading NetApp FAS, AFF, and E-Series hardware, networking, and storage protocols at customer sites with significant travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure NetApp infrastructures: FAS, AFF, E-Series; Update software and firmware via NetApp tools; Configure VLANs, VIFs, LIFs, MTU, TCP options; Work with NAS/SAN protocols (NFS, SMB, FC, FCoE, iSCSI); Travel to customer sites and document closure events
Technical Overview
Hands-on work with NetApp storage solutions, virtualization (VMware), cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure), and extensive networking configuration; strong documentation and client-facing skills.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a field engineer with 3+ years NetApp hardware experience, NetApp NCSIE certification, and strong networking knowledge. They should be comfortable with extensive travel (50-75%), customer-facing work, and proficient with storage protocols and NetApp environments.
