Tier 2 Network Administrator providing enterprise support, coordinating with the Network Operations Center, and implementing network changes and upgrades. Focuses on break/fix, ticket resolution/closure, routing and switching updates, SOP creation, and STIG-aligned security implementation.

  • Resolve network ticket incidents with incident analysis and root cause analyses
  • Review and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

Technical Overview

Handles approved VLAN and ACL changes, performs IOS and technology upgrades for routers and switches, and resolves network access and service failures. Works extensively with Cisco and Juniper devices and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x), including KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration and Cisco-ISE.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Tier 2 Network Administrator who provides enterprise network support in coordination with a Network Operations Center. They have hands-on experience making approved network changes (VLAN, ACL, port assignments), performing IOS upgrades, and resolving network issues via tickets and root-cause analyses. They also have Cisco and Juniper familiarity, strong routing protocol knowledge (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x), deep KG-175 Series TACLANES experience, working Cisco-ISE knowledge, and meet IAT II (Security+) plus CCNATS/SCI clearance requirements.
