About this role
The Network Engineer will maintain the integrity of Vistra's GCS OT network and support the design, implementation, and support of network systems for real-time environments. The role includes security upkeep per regulatory compliance and participation in 24x7 on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain network infrastructures, Configure and optimize network performance, security, and reliability, Conduct network assessments and audits, Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis, Provide support for setting up IPSec tunnels and maintain security per regulatory compliance
Technical Overview
This is a network engineering role focused on OT network compliance and secure connectivity. The stack and responsibilities include IPSec tunnel support, NERC CIP-guided operations, Panorama-managed firewalls, LSVPN with OSPF over LSVPN, and troubleshooting/monitoring using tools such as Splunk and TripWire.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a network engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructures, including security-focused connectivity like IPSec tunnels. They understand NERC CIP compliance requirements for OT environments and can support 24x7 on-call operations, with practical exposure to Panorama-managed firewalls, LSVPN/OSPF, and tools such as Splunk and TripWire.
