About this role
Design, implement, and troubleshoot ISP networks and managed Wi-Fi deployments, while also providing low-voltage support for CCTV and access control systems. The role includes significant field work with documentation of configurations and incident logs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage site-wide Wi-Fi distribution systems; Configure and troubleshoot routing/switching and core services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN); Support CCTV and access control platforms Tier 1–3; Perform field troubleshooting including structured cabling and device replacement; Maintain documentation of network configurations, access control IDs, VLAN maps, ISP assignments, and incident logs
Technical Overview
Core network work includes VLAN configuration, routing/switching, router configuration (MikroTik, Cisco, UniFi), and administering TCP/IP services like DNS, DHCP, and VPN alongside QoS and trunking. Low-voltage work covers CCTV and access control platforms (Verkada, Axis, UniFi Protect; Schlage ENGAGE/NDE/LE; 2N intercoms) and POE device/camera network troubleshooting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on network engineer with experience delivering ISP networks and deploying managed Wi-Fi across client sites. They can configure and troubleshoot routing/switching and core services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, QoS, trunking) and provide Tier 1–3 support for CCTV and access control systems including POE-based device networks.
