About this role
CACI is hiring a Network Operations Administrator (Journeyman) to manage and optimize DoD network infrastructure for reliable connectivity and performance. The role includes operating wireless and IP infrastructure, applying security measures, and supporting 24/7/365 operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure networks for security and interoperability
- Administer wireless network infrastructure (access points, controllers, access control, security devices)
- Administer access management and network access control in compliance with DoD Comply-to-Connect
- Provide systems administration for Global Command and Control System-Joint programs, ensuring high availability
- Operate and monitor 24/7/365 Joint DoDIN Operations Center and Internet Protocol infrastructure; assess performance and address vulnerabilities
Technical Overview
You will design, build, and configure networks for secure and scalable performance, administer wireless infrastructure (access points, controllers, access control, security devices), and manage IP infrastructure across campus, data center, and boundary networks. You will monitor network performance, perform end-to-end infrastructure testing and connectivity verification, and support high availability for Global Command and Control System-Joint programs within a Joint DoDIN Operations Center environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level network operations professional with 5+ years of DoD network troubleshooting experience and an active TS/SCI security clearance. They have strong wireless and Internet Protocol (IP) infrastructure administration experience, including end-to-end testing and connectivity verification, and can complete DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III within 6 months.
