About this role
The Network Reliability Engineer will monitor, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot a mature network environment for a large Government Agency client. The role heavily focuses on SolarWinds suite monitoring, alerting, dashboard maintenance, and incident response support using ticketing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain SolarWinds instances and alerts
- Develop and maintain interactive webpage dashboards via SWQL Studio
- Support incident response by monitoring ticket systems and addressing network incidents
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues using SolarWinds and packet capture/syslog analysis
- Provide root cause analysis and maintain technical documentation
Technical Overview
You will administer and extend SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM), Network Configuration Manager (NCM), NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA), and SolarWinds Security Event Manager (SEM). Responsibilities include building interactive dashboards with SWQL Studio, troubleshooting using SolarWinds and packet capture/syslog analysis, and applying networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SNMP, MPLS/WAN, IPv4) to deliver root cause analysis and improve performance.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior network engineer with 5+ years of experience monitoring and managing network equipment in an enterprise environment. They have hands-on SolarWinds expertise across NPM, NCM, NTA, and SEM, along with incident response support using ticketing systems and strong troubleshooting skills using packet capture and syslog analysis.
