About this role
Journeyman network specialist to install, operate, and repair underground network and distribution equipment, ensuring safety, compliance with OSHA, and timely outages/restore operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, locate, ground and repair underground cables
- Terminate underground conductors
- Maintain pad-mounted equipment
- Comply with OSHA and confinement requirements
- Travel to locations and work extended hours during outages
Technical Overview
Field utility role with underground cable maintenance; requires dynatel/underground fault-finding equipment experience; CDL, asbestos qualification, respirator clearance, and CAST testing are required or possible; travel and confinement work are routine.
Ideal Candidate
Journeyman-level network specialist with experience in underground distribution and with asbestos/respirator qualifications; CDL Class A is required with willingness to travel and operate in confined spaces safely.
