Amazon Leo’s Network Operations Center is looking for a Network Support Engineer (L5) to provide tier 1 support for software defined network services. The role focuses on troubleshooting and escalating network incidents, monitoring performance, and improving operational processes through tooling and automation.

  • Respond to and escalate network incidents for connectivity, performance, and security issues
  • Support deployment and onboarding of network capabilities across regions (satellites, gateway sites, points of presence)
  • Monitor and investigate network performance to ensure operational uptime
  • Build tools and refine operational procedures to improve network operations
  • Manage severity 2 and 3 tickets during on-call rotations and document findings

This position involves NOC operations for a global satellite network, including deployment onboarding support and performance monitoring across satellites, gateway sites, and points of presence. Required skills include network troubleshooting, severity 2/3 ticket handling, on-call rotations, and automation scripting using SQL, Python, or Bash with strong cloud networking concept knowledge.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level network operations/support engineer with 4+ years of network engineering and 4+ years of technical support experience for large-scale networks. They are strong in NOC-style troubleshooting and documentation, have hands-on network monitoring with automation scripting in SQL/Python/Bash, and understand cloud networking concepts and core TCP/IP routing fundamentals.
