Nucor Skyline is hiring a Night Shift Electrical Maintenance Technician for Huger, SC. The role focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining production and auxiliary support equipment through preventative and corrective electrical maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Repairs and maintains machinery and electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot and perform preventative and corrective industrial electrical maintenance
- Work with DC overhead cranes, AC and DC motors, PLCs, and distribution systems
- Perform mechanical tasks including pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding
- Follow safety lockout procedures and adhere to safety rules and housekeeping practices
Technical Overview
This position performs industrial electrical maintenance using PLCs and electrical distribution systems, and supports mechanical tasks involving pneumatics, hydraulics, and welding. It also requires safe application of lockout procedures during repairs and downtime diagnostics.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an industrial electrician/electrical maintenance technician comfortable on a night shift schedule (4 PM–4 AM, Monday–Thursday). They can troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and work with PLCs, motors, cranes, and distribution systems while strictly following lockout procedures and safety/housekeeping standards.
