About this role
Provide electrical support to keep a rail spike manufacturing facility operating reliably. You will handle installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and automation systems, including PLCs and HMI workstations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide electrical support for rail spike manufacturing (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting)
- Ensure continuous operations by answering calls and addressing production-line issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain Induction Heating Systems including rebuilding Induction Heating Coils
- Configure, program, monitor, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), network switches, servers, and HMI workstations
- Develop and implement continuous improvement projects
Technical Overview
The role focuses on electrical maintenance and industrial automation support in a manufacturing environment. You will work with power distribution, motor control centers, instrumentation, variable frequency drives, Induction Heating Systems, and configure/program/monitor/troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), network switches, servers, and HMI workstations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an electrical maintenance technician with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, strong skills in power distribution, motor control centers, and PLC/HMI programming. They can troubleshoot variable frequency drives and electrical equipment while performing preventive maintenance and supporting continuous production operations, with a solid safety-first mindset.
