About this role
NTSIN Third Shift Maintenance Technician supports advanced steel manufacturing equipment by installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems. The role focuses on maximizing machine productivity while ensuring strict adherence to safety policies and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and upgrade equipment and machines to improve production processes
- Troubleshoot non-functioning components including sensors, control components, and robots
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits
- Maintain safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
- Support and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment to keep the site producing and profitable
Technical Overview
Troubleshoots and repairs equipment issues involving sensors, control components, and robots, with specific emphasis on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits. Preferred experience includes PLC troubleshooting with Rockwell and Siemens, ABB robotics, and familiarity with greenfield environments.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Maintenance Technician prepared to take ownership of mechanical and electrical equipment on third shift in a high-automation steel manufacturing environment. They have strong hydraulics knowledge and solid understanding of 3-phase electricity, with experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits and non-functioning components such as sensors, control components, and robots.
