Nuclear Engineer I - Civil/Structural

Engineering role supporting the restart of a nuclear plant, applying fundamental engineering principles to plant systems, and performing design-change/engineering analyses while adhering to regulatory requirements and licensing processes.

• Plans and coordinates engineering activities under general guidance
• Provides direction to less-experienced engineers and technicians
• Applies nuclear regulations and standards to work assignments
• Performs engineering and analytical tasks to develop reliable, cost effective recommendations
• Assists with licensing and regulatory documentation

Role involves nuclear-regulatory driven engineering work, SDP-based design processes, and coordination with vendors and regulatory bodies to restore plant readiness.

The ideal candidate is an entry-level nuclear engineer with a strong ABET-accredited engineering degree, 3+ years of applicable experience, and familiarity with nuclear regulations and design processes. They should be capable of performing engineering analyses, coordinating with vendors, and supporting licensing and regulatory activities for the Duane Arnold restart.
