Nursing Student to RN Bridge Position

This role is a Nursing Student to RN bridge program with DaVita, designed for students graduating in May 2027. Participants complete a fully paid training program, work minimum 1 shift per week as a Patient Care Technician (PCT), and then receive full-time RN placement at clinics prior to NCLEX.

• Complete award winning fully paid training during the summer break (10 weeks)
• Work minimum 1 shift per week as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) during senior year
• Provide direct one-on-one patient care for dialysis patients
• Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis and record stats/observations
• Assist with hemodialysis machine setup and follow patient safety procedures

The program builds hands-on dialysis experience for nursing students by training them in PCT responsibilities such as hemodialysis machine setup, patient observation, and monitoring/recording patient stats before, during, and after dialysis treatments, including exposure to blood and needles.

The ideal candidate is a nursing student with a GPA of 3.0+ in nursing core curriculum who is set to graduate in May 2027. They can work in a fast-paced environment, travel locally for placement/training needs, and are willing to perform Patient Care Technician (PCT) duties in a dialysis setting, including monitoring patients and assisting with hemodialysis machine setup.
