About this role
OISL Assembly Technician role in Redmond, WA supporting full-scale production of Kuiper satellites; assemble and test LRUs and aerospace builds, read drawings, maintain traceability, and support calibration and test procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Assemble and test LRUs and aerospace builds
- Participate in process improvements and SOP updates
- Maintain floor stock and calibrate lab equipment
- Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings
Technical Overview
Hands-on mechanical/electrical assembly for space hardware with emphasis on electro-mechanical integration, fiber optics, and harnessing; requires clean room discipline and precise measurement tools.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an hands-on aerospace assembler with 1+ years in high-traceability manufacturing, proficient with calipers, multimeters, torque wrenches, and capable of reading engineering drawings. Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, fiber optics, and clean-room/HazMat practices is highly desired.
