On-desk Transaction Manager - Fixed Income Division - Associate or Vice President

Morgan Stanley is seeking a full-time front office/on-desk Transaction Manager for its Structured Notes business within the Fixed Income Division in New York. The role manages the structured note and SPV origination/distribution process end-to-end and coordinates across internal and external stakeholders.

• manage structured notes trade lifecycle (approvals, legal documentation, marketing materials, hedge documentation, settlement, lifecycle events)
• serve as central trade contact across front office and support functions
• collaborate on establishment and maintenance of business procedures/policies and socialize best practices
• streamline business processes and create efficiencies
• lead cost reduction initiatives and maintain/present business metrics/trade reporting

This is a deal execution and transaction management role focused on the structured notes trade lifecycle: approvals, legal documentation, marketing and hedge documentation, settlement, and lifecycle events. It also emphasizes process streamlining, cost reduction, trade reporting, and initiating automation to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate will be an on-desk Transaction Manager in fixed income with strong transaction management experience across the structured notes trade lifecycle, including approvals, legal documentation, hedge documentation, and settlement. They have preferably prior legal experience with Structured Notes (including CLNs/Credit Linked Notes) and/or SPV (repacks), and can act as the central trade contact coordinating front-to-back execution with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
