About this role

This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of power plant equipment. It includes inspections, water analysis, troubleshooting, monitoring and recording operating data, and performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including water treatment equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure powerhouse assets operated safely and efficiently and in an environmentally responsible manner
Perform inspections, water analysis, and troubleshooting to optimize plant performance
Monitor operating parameters and record operating data including production efficiencies, electrical usage, pressures, temperatures, vibration indications, and alarms
Perform scheduled and unscheduled plant maintenance to improve plant availability and cost effectiveness
Operate and maintain water treatment equipment including routine monitoring of water quality

Technical Overview

The technician will monitor key operating parameters (pressures, temperatures, vibration indications, alarms), perform troubleshooting and inspections, and execute predictive, preventive, and minor corrective maintenance. The role also involves lock-out/tag-out de-energization and assisting with turbine maintenance tasks such as gas turbine and steam turbine maintenance.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an O&M technician with hands-on experience operating and maintaining power plant equipment safely and efficiently. They have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with water treatment operations, and can monitor and record operating parameters such as pressures, temperatures, and vibration indications while following lock-out/tag-out procedures.
