About this role
This is a 10-12 week Operations Internship with Williams’ Power Innovation initiative. Interns relocate to New Albany, OH for an immersive hands-on natural gas industry program and can transition to a permanent home site in the Bowling Green, OH area.
Key Responsibilities
- Train in electrical, instrumentation and controls and provide I/E support
- Participate in flow path training and perform transmitter calibrations
- Complete line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, and daily rounds and readings in the gathering system
- Support mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, compliance activities, and facility cleaning
- Develop hands-on operational readiness for natural gas industry work
Technical Overview
The internship covers training and operational tasks for electrical and instrumentation and controls work, including I/E support, flow path training, and transmitter calibrations. It also includes gathering system operational activities such as line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, and daily rounds and readings, plus mechanical maintenance and compliance activities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an intern interested in hands-on energy operations and learning natural gas industry workflows through Williams’ Power Innovation internship. They should be able to relocate to New Albany, OH for 10-12 weeks and support activities involving instrumentation and controls training (including transmitter calibrations) and gathering system operations such as pigging and valve maintenance.
