About this role
This is a 10-12 week Operations Internship with Williams’ Power Innovation asset. Interns relocate to New Albany, OH for an immersive, hands-on natural gas industry experience and gain training across electrical, instrumentation and controls, and gathering system operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Train in electrical, instrumentation and controls and provide I/E support
- Participate in flow path training and perform transmitter calibrations
- Complete line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, and daily rounds and readings in the gathering system
- Support mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, compliance activities, and facility cleaning
- Develop hands-on operational readiness for natural gas industry work
Technical Overview
The internship includes training and field activities related to instrumentation and controls (I/E support, flow path training, transmitter calibrations) as well as gathering system operational tasks like line locations, pigging, valve maintenance, and daily rounds and readings. Work also includes mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, compliance activities, and facility cleaning.
