About this role
Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and develop a team of salaried and hourly employees across first mile, middle mile, and last mile operations. The role focuses on driving safety, quality, attendance, and performance while meeting customer delivery expectations through productivity planning and data-driven problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate salaried and hourly workforce
- Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
- Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources
Technical Overview
This is a logistics operations management role emphasizing data-driven decisions, analytical problem-solving, and productivity improvements. The workflow covers first mile, middle mile, and last mile processes, with responsibilities that include forecast reviews, load balancing, and execution of Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma improvements (preferred).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an Operations Manager with 3+ years of employee and performance management experience, strong safety and quality focus, and a proven record building productivity plans using forecast reviews. They are customer-focused leaders who apply data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving, with preferred experience in Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma.
