About this role
Amazon is hiring an Operations Manager to lead and develop a team responsible for safety, quality, attendance, and performance in the fulfillment network. The role focuses on building productivity plans, managing customer delivery promises, and partnering with multiple support teams to drive improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support, mentor, and motivate salaried and hourly workforce
- Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
- Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews and load balancing
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
- Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources
Technical Overview
This role is operational and analytics-driven, using forecast reviews and productivity requirements to manage throughput and load balancing. It includes process improvement initiatives such as Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma and operational excellence across first mile, middle mile, and last mile workflows.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an operations leader with 3+ years of employee and performance management experience, focused on safety, quality, attendance, and shift execution. They bring strong analytical problem-solving skills and experience building productivity plans using forecast reviews and load balancing, with exposure to Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma.
