About this role
This role manages production operations across multiple departments within a folding carton manufacturing operation. The Operations Manager supports the Plant Manager, leads continuous improvement (safety, quality, productivity), and drives LEAN Sigma initiatives to improve throughput and reduce waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and manage production operations across multiple departments
- Develop and implement operating policies
- Lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
- Drive LEAN Sigma process and serve as Plant Champion
- Improve throughput, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with quality standards
Technical Overview
The scope is operational leadership rather than technical systems. The role focuses on process change through LEAN Sigma, strengthening housekeeping and inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods, and maintaining compliance with quality standards.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an operations leader with 5-8 years of management/leadership experience in a folding carton packaging industry or similar manufacturing environment. They lead continuous improvement across safety, quality, and productivity, and drive LEAN Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and increase throughput while maintaining quality compliance.
Must-Have Skills
