Operations Manager

The Operations Manager - Hauling leads collections operations for commercial, industrial, and residential customers, including container delivery and pick up. This role manages a large team, executes local market strategy and tactical initiatives, and ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and budget achievement.

• Manage collections operations and route system across commercial, roll-off, and residential routes
• Oversee safety and accident prevention programs and loss control
• Ensure compliance with environmental, operating, regulatory, safety, accounting and ethics standards
• Manage budgets, labor hours, disposal expenses, purchase orders, and vendor pricing
• Lead and develop operations teams through hiring, training, coaching, and performance management

This position is centered on operational execution: route system management for commercial/roll-off/residential operations, productivity and labor/resource optimization, and compliance controls across safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, and ethics domains. It also includes change management initiatives to drive functional excellence and growth.

The ideal candidate is an executive-level Operations Manager - Hauling with strong experience leading collections operations across commercial, roll-off, and residential routes. They demonstrate safety leadership (accident prevention and loss control), regulatory compliance ownership, and the ability to manage budgets, purchase orders, vendor pricing, and large teams of dispatchers, supervisors, clerks, drivers, and helpers.
