About this role
GovCIO is hiring a remote Operations Research Analyst / Data Scientist to support database development, data configuration, analytics, and reporting for ICE within DHS. The role focuses on preparing and analyzing data from multiple systems to produce real-time metrics and dashboards, while responding to client needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective data management to enable complex analytics across Oracle, Databricks, AWS, and ServiceNow
- Build/align dashboards and analytics using Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik Dashboards
- Perform data exploration, data cleaning, visualization, and overall data analytics
- Conduct gap analysis and trade-off analyses to recommend solutions
- Create deliverables and enable end-user visibility through dashboard creation and metric dissemination
Technical Overview
You will manage and align data across Oracle, Databricks, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and ServiceNow, then translate it into actionable dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik Dashboards. Responsibilities include data exploration and cleaning, visualization, gap analysis, trade-off analyses, and building deliverables that support mission leadership with timely metrics.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Operations Research Analyst / Data Scientist with 5+ years of experience in data analytics, including 2+ years in data exploration, data cleaning, and visualization. They have hands-on experience aligning data across Oracle, Databricks, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and ServiceNow, and building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to deliver real-time metrics for mission leadership while meeting DHS clearance requirements.
Must-Have Skills
