Operations Technician (Mechanical)

This role supports Williams’ power innovation and data center-related energy installations by maintaining mechanical equipment and ensuring peak performance. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance while keeping accurate records and following safety procedures and compliance requirements.

• Maintain equipment safely and smoothly by reading drawings, inspecting gear, and supporting pipeline operations
• Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment to solve technical and operational challenges
• Follow company policies and right procedures for efficient, safe operations
• Learn and apply facility operations requirements to protect team, community, environment, and assets
• Maintain accurate records, complete reports and logs, and assist with preventive maintenance

The technician will work with gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, medium voltage generators, power distribution systems, and environmental controls including distributed control systems. Responsibilities emphasize hands-on mechanical troubleshooting, equipment inspection, reading drawings, and preventive maintenance with documented process operations and permit compliance.

The ideal candidate for this Operations Technician (Mechanical) role is an entry-level, safety-minded technician with hands-on mechanical experience supporting high-horsepower power and distribution equipment. They can read drawings, diagnose and repair equipment, maintain compliance with permits and facility operations requirements, and keep accurate process records while working shifts, overtime, and travel between locations.
