Kforce is seeking a Palo Alto Network Security Analyst to administer and optimize enterprise firewall security posture. The role monitors traffic and alerts, performs threat analysis and incident response, and supports compliance-oriented firewall audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks firewalls (PAN-OS)
- Manage security policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations (IPSec/GlobalProtect)
- Monitor traffic and security alerts using Panorama and SIEM tools
- Perform threat analysis, incident response, and root cause investigations
- Conduct firewall rule reviews, audits, and compliance checks (NERC CIP)
Technical Overview
This is a Palo Alto Networks-focused security administration role covering PAN-OS firewall configuration, security policy and NAT rule optimization, and VPN management using IPSec and GlobalProtect. The analyst will also use Panorama for centralized management and SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar to monitor and investigate incidents, including root cause investigations and compliance checks (e.g., NERC CIP).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level network security professional with 3-7+ years of experience in firewall administration, specifically with hands-on Palo Alto Networks firewalls. They can manage PAN-OS security policies, NAT rules, and VPNs (IPSec/GlobalProtect), monitor traffic and alerts via Panorama and SIEM tools like Splunk or QRadar, and lead incident response with root cause investigations.
