About this role
Partner Territory Manager (Indirect Sales) is responsible for building and executing a territory strategy through a portfolio of channel partners. You will drive revenue attainment and customer acquisition from pipeline through launch by advising partners on AWS programs, coaching their deal execution, and using MAP and APFP to accelerate growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the territory strategy and manage a portfolio of channel partners to drive revenue attainment and customer acquisition
- Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for AWS programs and funding opportunities
- Run the business using data, business reviews, and forecasting to stay ahead of trends and surface risks
- Collaborate with Partner Success Managers, Migration BDs, and Customer Success reps to align on customer needs
- Coach and enable partners to sharpen their pitch, understand AWS solutions, and leverage MAP and APFP
Technical Overview
This is an AWS partner-facing sales role focused on helping partners grow their AWS practice. The technical scope centers on understanding cloud technology and AWS programs, translating partner needs into go-to-market plays, and supporting successful customer launches through data-driven business operations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years in channel sales, partner management, or technology sales, with a proven record of exceeding territory-based revenue targets. They are comfortable using data for forecasting and business reviews, and they act as a trusted advisor who helps partners grow their AWS practice and win new customers. They have experience navigating AWS programs and using MAP (Marketing Acceleration Program) and APFP (AWS Partner Funding Program) to accelerate partner growth.
