About this role

The role is a per diem driver position responsible for transporting patients to and from Canyon Ridge Hospital’s Outpatient Program. The schedule is split with availability Tuesday through Saturday and may include Saturday hours for discharges.

Key Responsibilities

Transport patients to and from the facility
Assist with long-distance discharges (9am-3pm Tues-Sat)
Maintain safe, composed driving during rush hour
Perform basic automotive maintenance and basic auto repairs (flat tires, fluid checks, tire inflation)
Operate wheelchair lift and follow manuals/instructions

Technical Overview

This is a driving and vehicle-maintenance role requiring safe operation of a twelve-passenger or larger vehicle and the ability to operate a wheelchair lift. The job also requires following instructions/manuals and maintaining strict patient confidentiality while navigating local freeways, streets, and highways.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a patient transportation driver with a valid Class B driver's license and experience operating a twelve-passenger or larger vehicle. They have BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and can handle patient confidentiality while maintaining composure and safe driving skills in busy traffic. They are flexible with the split-shift schedule and comfortable assisting with long-distance discharges and wheelchair lift operation.
