About this role
Support the Large Cap Private Credit strategy through fundamental credit research, financial analysis, and ongoing portfolio monitoring. Present findings and investment recommendations to Portfolio Managers and the Large Cap Private Capital Investment Committee while collaborating with senior credit research professionals and external deal counterparties.
Key Responsibilities
- Support underwriting with financial statement analysis, modeling, forecasting and sensitivity analysis
- Provide and present earnings on portfolio companies
- Conduct industry data collection and trend analysis
- Assess business and financial strategy
- Support deal transaction process including execution oversight and valuation analysis
Technical Overview
Performs credit-focused underwriting support including financial statement analysis, modeling, forecasting, and sensitivity analysis, plus valuation analysis for deals. Contributes to portfolio construction through investment research and supports ongoing monitoring of private credit investments; includes regular coordination via daily meetings.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an investment analyst with at least 1 year of relevant internship or work experience in direct lending or private credit, strong fundamental credit research skills, and the ability to perform financial statement analysis and modeling. They are comfortable supporting underwriting and deal transaction work, presenting analysis to Portfolio Managers and Investment Committee members, and monitoring portfolio investments on an ongoing basis in a hybrid Newark, NJ role.
