About this role

Learn and develop pharmacy skills as a Pharmacy Graduate Intern while supporting prescription and customer service tasks under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Duties include processing prescription information, assisting with healthcare counseling, maintaining pharmacy readiness, and completing quality assurance work compliant with Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Accept customer and prescription information including refill authorization
Fill customer prescriptions
Provide healthcare counseling and assist with medical-related issues
Learn and use Rite Aid's computer system for data input
Complete quality assurance duties per Board of Pharmacy regulations

Technical Overview

Role focuses on pharmacy workflow execution and accurate data entry into Rite Aid's computer system. It includes standard retail pharmacy operations such as prescription filling, cash register operation, inventory/cycle count support, and compliance-driven quality assurance under state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a pharmacy intern candidate who meets state Pharmacy Intern Credentials requirements and can safely learn and support core pharmacy operations under the supervision of a Pharmacist. They have strong attention to detail for prescription processing, are comfortable interacting with customers and physicians, and can follow company policies and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
