Rite Aid is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to learn and develop pharmacist skills while attending pharmacy school. The intern will support prescription processing and customer service tasks under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
- Accept customer and prescription information including refill authorization, Fill customer prescriptions, Interact with physicians and use reference material to resolve prescription issues, Input customer and prescription data into the pharmacy system, Assist with pharmacy operations including cash register, counseling, and QA/Board of Pharmacy compliance
Technical Overview
This role focuses on pharmacy operations with hands-on support: collecting prescription/refill information, entering data into a pharmacy computer system, and assisting with QA and compliance tasks aligned to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program and can work as a Pharmacy Intern under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist. They are customer-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling prescription information, basic pharmacy system data entry, and pharmacy department support tasks (e.g., inventory/cycle counts).
