About this role
Albertsons is hiring Pharmacy Technicians to support pharmacists and help create an easy, friendly pharmacy experience for patients. The role involves prescription support in a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to help provide immunizations where allowed by law.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pharmacists and pharmacies for patient prescriptions and service
- Provide customer service that makes visits memorable
- Use the pharmacy computer system as part of daily workflows
- Participate in hands-on training and mentoring programs
- Obtain required licenses (where required by local state requirements) and support immunizations where allowed by law
Technical Overview
The position requires familiarity with a pharmacy computer system and the ability to learn through pharmacy learning and development team training plus hands-on mentoring. No software engineering or IT systems administration is required beyond pharmacy workflow tooling.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a Pharmacy Technician who is willing to obtain the required licenses and can work reliably in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. They have customer-focused, patient-friendly communication skills and are comfortable using the pharmacy computer system while learning through hands-on training and mentoring.
