About this role
This Pharmacy Technician II day-shift role assists pharmacists with daily operations, including preparing medication for dispensing, packaging, and shipment. The technician manages inventory, processes returned medications, and inputs patient and prescription data into the pharmacy information management system while following pharmacy laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with prescription order filling as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy
- Prepare medication for dispensing, packaging and shipment
- Perform inventory management including out-of-date item removal
- Process returned medications for credit or destruction
- Input patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system
