About this role
This PRN Physical Therapist role provides inpatient rehab therapy services at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. The therapist evaluates patients, plans and directs treatment modalities, and supports restoration of function while preventing disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, direct and administer physical therapy modalities as prescribed by a licensed physician
- Provide treatment to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability
- Deliver individualized interdisciplinary plan of care across age and diagnosis
- Apply knowledge of IRF-PAI (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument) and the Care Tool for CMS payment system
- Demonstrate working knowledge across orthopedic, neurological, and general weakness conditions
Technical Overview
The scope includes rehabilitation across orthopedic and neurological conditions, including CVA, TBI, degenerative neurological diseases, and SCI, plus complex medical comorbidities. It also requires familiarity with IRF-PAI (Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument) and the Care Tool as used in the CMS payment system.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a PRN Physical Therapist experienced in inpatient rehab therapy who can evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy modalities.
