About this role
Remote primary care physician role with Education Debt Reduction Program benefits, serving Veterans across the Northern California VA Health Care System. The physician provides outpatient care in a team-based clinic and may teach residents; onsite presence required quarterly.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate care for outpatient panel
- Evaluate and treat acute and chronic health problems
- Perform histories and physical exams
- Prescribe medications and order tests
- Preceptor for residents and educate patients/families
Technical Overview
Clinical environment within the VA, primarily outpatient primary care with telehealth capabilities, fully computerized notes and orders, requires VA credentialing and EHR proficiency.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine physician with VA primary care experience, able to operate on Pacific Time and travel to Northern California clinics on a quarterly basis, and serve as a teaching preceptor for residents.
