About this role
The Pipeline Controller monitors pipeline flow, pressure, and specifications using SCADA data and supports day-to-day facility operations. This role also involves training on consoles, preparing operating reports and volume ledgers, and coordinating responses to abnormal or crisis events.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pipeline product flows and pressures using SCADA information
- Prepare daily operating reports and product volume ledgers
- Track deviations to plans and drive/document corrective actions
- Coordinate responses to abnormal operating events and crisis events
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and implementing facility operations, shutdowns, and start-ups
Technical Overview
You will use SCADA and alarm management concepts to monitor actual performance against targets, track deviations, and document corrective actions. The work includes preparing daily operating records (operating reports and product volume ledgers) and supporting console-based operational control in a 12-hour rotating shift environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of oil and gas industry experience and can monitor pipeline flow, pressure, and specifications using SCADA information. They are comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts and responding to callouts for console coverage. They prepare operating reports and track deviations, coordinating responses to abnormal and crisis operating events.
