About this role
The Plant Engineer will manage maintenance and repairs across the plant while coordinating maintenance personnel to support efficient, low-cost operations. The role reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for maintenance strategy, compliance, quality standards, safety, and capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Oversee full wastewater treatment systems
- Manage compliance with state and federal requirements (air permits, WWT discharge permits, OSHA safety standards)
- Plan and oversee Capital Expenditure items (equipment purchases, contracted labor, in-house construction/fabrication)
- Provide emergency response and support EHS programs including hazardous waste disposal
Technical Overview
The technical scope includes designing, implementing, and maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs, overseeing wastewater treatment systems, and managing compliance with air permits, WWT discharge permits, and OSHA safety standards. The role also requires hands-on knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), forming presses, electrical systems, chilled water and compressed air systems, and equipment used in printing and curing operations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Plant Engineer with 3-5 years of manufacturing experience who can lead plant maintenance and repairs across operations. They have hands-on knowledge of modern equipment maintenance including TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), high speed forming presses, wastewater treatment, and plant compliance with OSHA safety standards and permit requirements. They also demonstrate leadership by supervising maintenance personnel and managing budgets and capital expenditure projects.
