About this role
The Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for consultative, technically focused selling that supports new business and deal closure. The role owns technical sales aspects, gathers requirements, delivers demos, and provides integration assistance for successful evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and execute product, solution and service-related sales activities in collaboration with Account Manager/Solution Sales Manager
- Own the technical part of the sale
- Determine technical requirements and map them to products and solutions
- Deliver demos and presentations and provide integration assistance
- Manage RFx knowledge repository and drive deal closure
Technical Overview
The technical scope includes matching customer requirements to product and partner solutions, providing integration assistance, and presenting offerings during evaluations and events. It also includes maintaining RFx knowledge to support consistent pre-sales execution.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a customer-facing technical salesperson experienced in consultative selling and owning technical parts of complex sales opportunities. They can translate customer technical requirements into product/solution positioning, deliver demos, and support integrations through evaluations while building strong relationships from partner to C-level stakeholders.
